Who would have thought that a simple drag show contest in 2009 would quickly become one of the world’s highly anticipated reality shows. The shows namesake is no stranger to the limelight. RuPaul is a successful recording artist, talk show host, festival producer and icon just to scratch the surface. RuPaul’s Drag Race pitted drag entertainers from across the country to compete to be ‘America’s Next Drag Superstar’. All the while trying their best not to get eliminated after being judged during challenges, runway looks and the final weekly challenge between the final two contestants to Lipsync For Your Life.
